Aaron Pettit was selected by the Cedartown High School faculty and staff as Student of the Month for March. Pettit is a senior at CHS.
The faculty members who nominated him said, “Aaron is a hardworking and determined individual who puts forth great effort in whatever he does. He exemplifies good character, and takes advantage of the opportunities that are given to him. He is actively involved in several clubs and organizations at CHS serving as an asset to each group.”
Pettit hopes to attend a technical college and pursue a degree in Horticulture and plans to one day train to be a firefighter.
Tim McKelvey, long term Automotive substitite teacher, has been elected by his peers as CHS Staffulty of the Month for March.
McKelvey has 15 years of experience as a service technician and 20 years as a service manager with Heritage Buick, GMC, and Honda. He is a GM Master Mechanic, has completed Honda Service Management College, and has received NADA certification. McKelvey's years of experience and training in the field have been valuable to our students.
When asked about his work,McKelvey said, “I enjoy meeting every student and trying to prepare them for their futures. I have always had a passion for machines, cars, and trucks, and I enjoy seeing young people with the same passion. Every day is a new challenge, and I love every minute.”
