Bond has been set at $25,000 for a Cedartown man charged in a child molestation case, according to court officials.

Peyton Bostwick, 51, of 91 Airport Road, Cedartown, is charged with child molestation, aggravated child molestation, first-degree cruelty to children, aggravated sodomy, aggravated sexual battery and enticing a child for indecent purposes, according to Polk County Jail records. All of the charges are felonies, according to jail records.

Bostwick, a South Carolina native who owns his own landscaping business in Cedartown and hosts a weekly gardening radio show, was arrested July 11 and jail records indicate he remains in the Polk County Jail, even though bond was set Tuesday morning.

Bostwick did not appear in open court. His attorney, David Smith, circuit public defender, said the decision about bond was made after attorneys met with the judge in his chambers and heard all the pertinent facts in the case.

Polk County Police Department reports state two women called police about an incident or incidents occurring between Jan. 20 through Feb. 20. The alleged incidents took place in Bostwick's home, according to police reports.

Bostwick had been previously arrested in October 2009 by Polk County police on charges of driving too fast for conditions, a tag light requirement, driving on a suspended license, DUI, open container and reckless driving, according to jail records.

He also faced a 2004 DUI charge in Houston County when he lived in Perry, Ga. The outcome of the Houston County case is unknown.
