The Doc Ayers and Ray Beck Community Foundation Inc. held its annual luncheon on Thursday, March 15 at the Cherokee Country Club in Cedartown.

This was the 20th anniversary of the annual event.

The banquet was held so that proceeds from last year's Doc Ayers and Rey Beck Celebrity Golf Tourament could be distributed to various organizations from around Polk County.

Many representatives from the various organizations were on hand to attend the luncheon. The groups were announced during the lunch and representatives came forward for the presentation of their checks by Doc Ayers and Tom Beck, Ray Beck's son.

Organizers said more that $40,000 was divided up and distributed to the groups.

This charity golf tournament is held each May at the Cherokee Country Club.

For more information or to register for the 2012 tournament, call 770-748-3870 or stop by the Gammage Law Firm, 216 Main Street, Cedartown.
