An Aragon man faces child molestation charges after a school counselor reported a suspected incident to police, according to an official from the Rockmart Police Department.

Rockmart police arrested Derrick Keith Lentz, 29, of 327 New Prospect Road, Aragon, Dec. 9. The Polk County Jail docket book states he is charged with aggravated child molestation and rape.

Det. David Gowens said Lentz is suspected in an incident involving a child under 16 years old. He said an investigation took place immediately after the counselor reported it.

Gowens said the incident was reported soon enough after the alleged incident for police to obtain physical evidence.

He said all interviews have been completed and police are now waiting a report from the Georgia Crime Lab regarding physical evidence.

Lowlife/ TRASH!!! Destroy a child's because he is a pervert. I only hope the sorry District Attorney in Polk County will prosecute this scum. Polk Countians should demand the DA do his job and protect the young from trash such as this.
